MINUTES
Minutes of the September meeting as posted on the league web site were approved as posted.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No members of the public were present
GUEST COMMENTS
John Rafferty, Steve Harank & Jim Leneau each spoke about their function as assignors and some to the problems they face. There were also some league specific problems they addressed.
Jim Jorgensen spoke about the process the official’s association has to investigate complaints and how they deal with discipline.
OLD BUSINESS
There was no old business
NEW BUSINESS
Athletic Directors reviewed 2008 schedules for swimming and co-ed tennis. Home and away dates for some teams will have to be modified because of pool availability in swimming. That schedule will have to be brought back for final approval by the Athletic Board.
Foothill announced that they would not field a tennis team. The tennis schedule will have to be re-done to prevent multiple byes.
The 2008 & 2009 Football Schedules were reviewed and will be brought to the January meeting for final approval.
No other schedules were available for review. Athletic Directors were directed to contact the sport co-ordinators in their school and present schedules for the January meeting.
SECTION & STATE ITEMS
An overview of the Franklin undue influence situation was made by Commissioner Hooker
SITUATIONS & RULINGS
There was a discussion of an ethics ruling on a River City football player who was reinstated following a fact finding process by the League President.
